A 29 year old Ardbeg from Islay, distilled on 8th March 1967 and matured in a single sherry cask, number 922, until it was bottled in June 1996. Kingsbury bottled it at 54.6% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The tasting notes describe a nose of seaweed, peat and oak alongside roasted nuts, coffee beans, hazelnuts and black nougat, with blackberry and strawberry jam fruit coming through. The palate is dry, oaky and peppery, and peat and cocoa carry into the finish.
