Ardbeg 1978 is a single malt Scotch whisky from Islay, offered at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Ardbeg is among the island's oldest distilleries and is known for heavily peated whisky.
The distillery's house character combines smoke, spice and sweetness. Its whiskies have a less pronounced maritime character than many associated with Islay, despite their strong peat influence.
