This is a 26 year old Islay single malt from Ardbeg, bottled by Hunter Laing in 2019 for its Kinship Collection. It is bottled at cask strength, 47.2%, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured for more than a quarter of a century in a single refill hogshead before bottling.
The nose is full of salty sea breeze, earthy peat and crisp seaweed. The palate brings rich toffee, marzipan, burning heather, sea salt, black pepper and lemon.
