Ardbeg Vintage Y2K is a 23 year old Islay single malt, distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2024 at 46%. It is released as The Ultimate.
The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. Ardbeg's purifier on the spirit still sends heavier vapours back for redistillation, which leaves the lighter, fruitier parts of the spirit to pass to the condenser.
On the nose, classic peat smoke comes with lemon balm and a note of linseed oil.
