Ardbeg – 25 Year Old (46%)

Ardbeg 25 Year Old is bottled at 46% and is not chill-filtered. It shows that age has not tamed the smoky force of Ardbeg, while bringing out some of the most complex aromas the distillery has produced. It was bottled from casks filled during some of the darkest days of the distillery. The nose combines smoked cream and earthy bonfires with pine and scented candle wax. On the palate, sharp pepper winds around the sweetness of lemon sorbet, with carbolic soap and tar, and the finish is long, with aniseed, cream and caramel.
