Ardbeg – 25 Year Old Limited Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl)

A 25 year old Islay single malt from Ardbeg, in a 70cl bottle. It is the oldest permanent addition to the distillery's core range and the first edition of this release. The whisky was distilled in the 1990s. Ardbeg's production halted in 1981 and resumed in 1989 under Hiram Walker, then stayed at a low level until late 1996, so little of the distillery's output from the middle of that decade has been tasted. It is the first Ardbeg age statement of this kind since the Lord of the Isles bottlings more than ten years earlier.
