Ardbeg 25 Years Old is an Islay single malt from the 2022 edition, bottled at 46% without chill-filtration. It matured for 25 years in bourbon casks and comes in a metal case.
The nose is sooty oak with citrus, liquorice, pepper, vanilla and toasted coconut. On the palate, peat smoke sits alongside dark chocolate, eucalyptus and roasted coffee beans, with a light mineral saltiness. The finish is long and silky, with lingering smoke and sweet spice.
