This is a 26 year old Ardbeg single malt from Islay, bottled by Hunter Laing at cask strength, 47.2%, in a 70cl bottle. It is the third release of the Kinship Collection, issued in 2019.
The whisky matured for more than a quarter of a century in a single refill hogshead.
The nose is described as salty sea breeze with earthy peat and crisp seaweed. On the palate come rich toffee, marzipan, burning heather, sea salt, black pepper and lemon.
