This is the Ardbeg Alligator Committee Reserve "For Discussion", an Islay single malt bottled at 51.2% in a 70cl bottle. It was released in 2011 for members of the Ardbeg Committee, in an outturn of about 10,000 bottles. The whisky was matured in heavily charred new American white oak. The charring cracks the wood so that it looks like alligator skin, which gave the series its name. "For Discussion" marks this as a preview, released to gather the Committee's feedback ahead of the wider release of the standard Ardbeg Alligator.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
