Ardbeg – Anamorphic Committee Release (70cl, 48.2%)

Ardbeg Anamorphic is a Committee release single malt, bottled at 48.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. What sets it apart is the cask work: the cask heads were scored to expose more of the wood's surface, the ends were heavily toasted using the distillery's 'high mocha' process, and the inside of the barrels was charred. This treatment is said to temper the briny overtones, bring out a hidden chocolaty sweetness and heighten the mocha character.
