Ardbeg – Anthology 13 Year Old The Harpy's Tale (70cl, 46%)

Ardbeg Anthology 13 Year Old The Harpy's Tale is the first release in Ardbeg's Anthology Collection. It is an Islay single malt matured for 13 years and bottled at 46% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The maturation combines ex-bourbon casks with Sauternes sweet wine casks, which add golden sweetness and fruit to the peated Islay malt. The nose is sweet and smoky, with honeycomb, toasted oak, tropical fruit, sea spray and peat. On the palate come ripe apricot, creme brulee and smoky vanilla, and the long finish is sweet and smoky with citrus, spice and a sherried warmth.
