Ardbeg Anthology The Unicorn's Tale is a 14 year old Islay single malt, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is not chill-filtered.
The whisky was matured in a marriage of aromatic Madeira casks and Ardbeg's classic ex-bourbon casks.
The nose is sweet, fruity and aromatic, with baked banana bread, syrupy sponge pudding, molasses and burnt cedar wood, and tropical fruit opens up with a little water. On the palate come lime and sweet peach, then smoky fruit, aniseed and peat smoke. The finish is long and smoky, with menthol, clove, wood smoke and camphor.
