Ardbeg 'Ardbog' is an Islay single malt made for the Feis Ile festival in 2013, a limited edition bottled at 52.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and specially selected dark rum casks.
The nose brings smoky peat, sea salt and toffee, with dark chocolate and dried fruit. The palate is full-bodied, with espresso, black pepper and ripe plums, a touch of brine and a hint of sweetness. The finish is long and warming, with lingering smoke, rich spices and a sweet, oaky undertone.
