Ardbeg – Ardcore Ardbeg Day 2022 (70cl)

Ardcore is the Ardbeg Day release for 2022, a peated single malt from Islay matured in a single bourbon cask. It is a limited edition made for the annual gathering of peat enthusiasts. What sets it apart is the malt. It was dried at a very high temperature until roasted black, rather like a coffee or cocoa bean. The nose brings charcoal and gentle smoke. On the palate, strong aniseed and dark chocolate come through.
