Ardbeg – BizarreBQ Limited Edition (50.9%)

Ardbeg BizarreBQ is a limited edition Islay malt and the first whisky from the distillery inspired by barbecue. It is bottled at 50.9% ABV. It was matured in three heavily toasted casks: double charred oak, Pedro Ximénez sherry, and Ardbeg's own BBQ casks, which were charred extra hard in a traditional fire basket. The distillery was founded in 1815. Dr Bill Lumsden, Ardbeg's Director of Whisky Creation, developed the recipe together with Christian Stevenson, known as DJ BBQ. The character is sweet, spicy and smoky, with peaty notes.
