Ardbeg Blaaack is a limited edition Islay single malt, created to celebrate the anniversary of the Ardbeg Committee. It is bottled at 46% ABV.
The whisky was matured in pinot noir wine casks from New Zealand, which set it apart from other Ardbeg releases.
The nose offers berries, smoke and a hint of chocolate. On the palate, red fruits, peat smoke and spice come with a gentle sweetness from the wine casks. The finish is long, dry and smoky.
