Ardbeg Corryvreckan is a Scotch single malt bottled at 57.1% ABV without chill filtration. It takes its name from the whirlpool off Scotland's west coast.
The whisky is matured in new French oak and ex-bourbon casks, and the French oak adds tannin and dark berry character to the peat.
Tasting notes describe intense peat, dark berry, leather and espresso on the nose, peat smoke, dark fruit and black pepper on the palate, and a very long, smoky finish with lingering tannin.
