Ardbeg – Dolce Day (70cl)

Ardbeg Dolce Day is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, matured in two kinds of cask: sweet Marsala fortified wine casks from Sicily and heavily charred bourbon barrels. The result sets dry and sweet Sicilian character and Marsala fruit against Ardbeg's smoke and peat. The release takes its inspiration from the slow pace of Mediterranean life and the glamour of 1960s Italian cinema. That theme pairs olive groves with Islay's misty coves, and film reels with the island's lobster creels.
