Ardbeg Galileo is a single malt marking Ardbeg's first experiment in space. In October 2011, molecules made at the distillery were sent into orbit. This is the 1999 bottling, at 49% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is spicy toffee, tropical fruits and a puff of soot. The palate is salty yet sweet, with cream and a burst of smoking apricots. The finish is long, lingering and serene.
