Ardbeg – Heavy Vapours Committee Release (70cl, 50.2%)

Ardbeg Heavy Vapours is a single malt Scotch whisky from Islay, issued as a Committee Release. It is non-chill-filtered and bottled at 50.2% in a 70cl bottle. It was made without the purifier on the still that is usually credited with Ardbeg's balance. The familiar harmony between peat and floral fruitiness is disrupted as a result, and darker, wilder flavours come to the fore. It is described as having a dramatic, aromatic pungency.
