Ardbeg – Heavy Vapours Limited Edition 2023 (70cl, 46%)

Ardbeg Heavy Vapours is a limited edition Islay single malt from 2023, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle and matured in classic Ardbeg casks. Its story concerns a missing purifier at the distillery, and the whisky leans towards darker, more pungent flavours than the usual balance of peat and floral fruit. The nose brings darkest chocolate, sharp peppermint, aniseed, powdery cinnamon and menthol. On the palate, smoke comes with lingering sweetness, bittersweet notes, ashy coal dust, cardamom and mentholic eucalyptus.
