Ardbeg Kildalton 2013 is a single malt Scotch whisky from Islay, bottled in 2013 at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in a mix of bourbon and sherry casks, both first fill and refill.
The nose combines dry wood, peat, light smoke and sweet coal, with dry herbs and cedar wood. The palate is dense and smoky with woody notes and black pepper, balancing sweetness and bitterness in the manner of caramel and toffee. The finish is spicy and warming, with burnt cedar planks, needles and a creamy sweetness.
