Ardbeg Scorch is a limited-edition single malt from Ardbeg, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a bright, brushed gold in the glass.
The nose is intensely smoky, with soot, aniseed, patchouli, quenched steel and saddle soap. A drop of water brings out herbal notes of briarwood, sage and pine.
The palate is oily, with sweet smoke, charred oak, grilled flavours and black liquorice alongside a medicinal lozenge note. The finish is long and carries a subtle tarry aftertaste.
