Smoketrails is the Manzanilla Edition from Ardbeg, an Islay single malt released as a special travel retail bottling. It comes in a one-litre bottle at 46%.
It matured in American oak and Manzanilla sherry casks.
The nose offers citrus, wine, dried fruit, seaweed and dried ashes. The palate is oily with a fresh start and notes of fruit, nuts and vanilla, turning drier later with medicinal peat and smoked ham. The finish is medium in length, silky, with a salty touch.
