Ardbeg Smoketrails Napa Valley is an Islay single malt from the 2024 Napa Valley Edition, bottled at 46% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon casks together with Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks from California. The wine casks add darker fruit and a winey structure to the heavily peated Ardbeg character, alongside toasted grain, spice and a cool note of menthol. This bottle comes from batch US/NV: 2024/03-ST.
On the nose, jasmine and rose meet smoked plums, with a touch of freshly baked rye bread.
