Ardbeg Smokiverse is a limited release Islay single malt, bottled at 48.3% in a 70cl bottle without chill filtration.
It is matured in a mix of bourbon casks and specially selected barrels, and was created to bring out a stronger peat character from the distillery.
The nose combines ashy peat, scorched citrus, sea salt, iodine and coal smoke. The palate brings burnt sugar, lemon oil, smoked cereal, pepper, tar and coastal saltiness, with hints of eucalyptus. The finish is long and smoky, with ash, sea spray, warm oak and citrus spice.
