Ardbeg Spectacular is the 2024 Ardbeg Day limited edition, a peated single malt from Islay in a 70cl bottle. It is the first Ardbeg to be matured in port casks, before being married with classic bourbon casks.
The nose shows lavender, vetiver, incense, leather, wax and almond, and with a drop of water wood smoke and damp peat emerge. The palate is oily and sweet-salty, with peat smoke, eucalyptus oil, mint chocolate, caramel, smoked pecans, creosote and tar, and pear crumble in the background. The finish is long, with salted caramel and cooling menthol.
