This is a limited edition Islay single malt from Ardbeg, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It is the first time Ardbeg has matured a whisky in port casks together with classic ex-bourbon casks. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose opens with lavender, vetiver and incense, moving into rich almond nuttiness. Peat smoke, eucalyptus oil, mint chocolate and toffee mingle with smoked pecans, creosote and tar, while pear crumble and soft toffee sit quietly underneath.
