Ardbeg – Spectacular (70cl, 46%)

Ardbeg Spectacular is a limited edition Islay single malt from the Ardbeg distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It was matured in a combination of bourbon and port casks, a pairing that sets it apart from the distillery's more familiar bottlings. On the palate, strong peat smoke sits alongside caramel and dark chocolate, with eucalyptus and pepper in support. Pear and raisin add a fruity note, and the long finish carries a touch of smoke and salt.
