Ardbeg – Supernova Committee Release SN2019 (70cl, 53.8%)

This is the 2019 Supernova Committee Release from Ardbeg, an Islay single malt bottled at 53.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The Supernova series is known for very high peating levels, and this is among the most heavily peated whiskies the distillery makes. The nose combines aniseed, menthol and eucalyptus with bonfire smoke, soot and charred oak. On the palate there is birch tar, menthol and smoke. The finish is long and intense.
