Ardbeg Ten is a 10-year-old Islay single malt, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle in the older Ardbeg presentation. It is matured in ex-bourbon casks and is non-chill-filtered, with no added colouring.
Ardbeg was founded in 1815 on the rugged south coast of Islay. Its style relies on a purifier on the spirit still, which sends heavier vapours back into the still and lets lighter, fruitier ones pass on to the condenser.
On the nose, peat smoke meets salty seaweed and sea air, with lively lime and a note of tarred rope.
