Ardbeg Traigh Bhan 19 Year Old Batch 3 is an Islay single malt, bottled at 46.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The series takes its inspiration from Traigh Bhan beach on Islay.
It was matured in American oak and Oloroso sherry casks. This third batch was bottled during the global lockdown, after spending its final years in the furthest reaches of the distillery's warehouse.
The nose combines woodsmoke, sea spray and pine resin with aniseed toffee, citrus zest and a little cayenne pepper. The palate is sappy and sweet-smoky, with tar, treacle toffee, walnuts and spice. The finish is long, with bitter almonds and clove.
