Traigh Bhan is a 19-year-old Islay single malt from Ardbeg, and this is Batch 5, a small batch release bottled at 46.2%. It was distilled on 12 February 2004 and bottled on 3 May 2023.
The whisky matured in American oak and Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose is delicate, with smoke, iodine, exotic fruit and spice. On the palate, well-balanced flavours of citrus, peat and spice lead to a long finish with notes of charcoal, green tea and chocolate.
