Ardbeg – Uigeadail (54.2%)

Ardbeg Uigeadail is an Islay whisky bottled at 54.2% ABV, non-chill-filtered, which joins Ardbeg's deep peat smoke with the rich, raisin-like tones of sherry casks. Its character comes from a vatting of whisky from ex-bourbon casks of American oak, which bring the deep smoky notes, with whisky from ex-Oloroso sherry casks, which add the raisined richness. Smoky peat and water from Loch Uigeadail, the loch that gives the whisky its name, also play a large part.
