Ardbeg Y2K 23 Year Old is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, released as a limited edition. It was distilled in a still that served the distillery until it was retired in 2001, and matured in bourbon and Oloroso casks until 2024.
The nose is herbal and sweet with a hint of smoke, alongside lemon, linseed oil and walnuts. The palate is noticeably sweet, with aniseed, toffee, digestive biscuits, peppermint, tar and coffee grounds. The finish is sooty, with menthol, bitter oranges and oak tannins.
