This is a 14-year-old Ardmore single malt from the Highlands, bottled by Blackadder as Raw Cask and sold in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in ex-Laphroaig casks, which are former Islay whisky casks. They give the Highland malt layers of smoke, medicinal notes and a subtle maritime influence.
The character is pronounced and peated. Ardmore Distillery was founded in 1898 and takes its heavily peated barley from nearby floor maltings.
