This is a 19 year old Ardmore single malt from the Highlands, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail as part of its Distillery Labels series. It is golden in colour, was matured in specially chosen casks and is bottled at 46% abv.
The nose combines sweet apples, berries, toffee, cake spices, lemon peel, sweet smoke and ginger. On the palate come raspberry coulis, peppercorn warmth, toasted oak, woody smoke, orange peel and vanilla. The finish is elegant and lingering, with dried fruits such as prunes and sultanas and soft spice.
