This is a 17-year-old Ardmore, distilled in 2002 and bottled in 2019 by Hidden Spirits from a single ex-bourbon cask. It is bottled at a cask strength of 52.7% in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration or added colouring.
Ardmore is a Highland distillery, and its malt is lightly peated.
The nose combines vanilla cream and honey with gentle peat smoke, orchard fruits, toasted oak and subtle spice. On the palate it is full-bodied, with caramelised sugar, vanilla custard and baked apple, plus cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper. The finish is long, with sweet smoke, dried fruits and oak spice.
