Ardnamurchan – AD/01.21:01 (46.8%)

Ardnamurchan AD/01.21:01 is a limited edition single malt from the Highlands distillery, and the follow-up to its first series of single malt releases. It is bottled at 46.8%. The malt is made from peated and unpeated barley in equal parts, then matured in ex-bourbon casks alongside ex-sherry casks that held Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso. The nose is honey and nutmeg with melted brown sugar. On the palate there is spice and honeyed sweetness, with pear and peach. The finish is long without being hot, carrying sweet sherry notes from the cask and well-balanced spice.
