This is the first single malt released by Ardnamurchan Distillery, a Highland distillery at Glenbeg, Acharacle. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46.8% ABV and is non-chill-filtered and natural in colour.
The whisky is made from a mix of peated and unpeated spirit and was matured in both bourbon and sherry casks.
The nose is honeyed malt, coastal air and gentle peat, with lemon peel, orchard fruit and vanilla cream. The palate is silky, with toffee apple, heather honey and citrus oils, a delicate thread of smoke and light sherry spice. The finish is medium to long, with embers, oak spice and sweet malt.
