This is the 2025 release of Ardnamurchan AD, a Highland single malt bottled at its natural cask strength of 57.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is the oldest cask strength release from the distillery to date.
The spirit is 87% peated and 13% unpeated, drawn from peated casks of 2017 and unpeated casks of 2016 and 2017. Around 90% of it matured in ex-bourbon casks and 10% in ex-sherry casks, including Oloroso and PX. It was bottled in 2025.
The nose brings coastal peat smoke, vanilla, tangy citrus zest and beach bonfire. On the palate, maritime peat meets apples, pears, warm oak char and black pepper. The finish is long, with smouldering peat, seaweed salinity and hints of tropical fruit.
