Ardnamurchan AD/ Sherry Cask Release is a Highland single malt bottled at 50% ABV. It is a vatting of ten peated sherry butts and fifteen unpeated sherry hogsheads, and it is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The distillery stands on the Ardnamurchan peninsula in the west of Scotland.
The nose is coastal, with Murray mint, beach bonfire, salted peanut ice cream, tomato stalks, Brazil nuts and sun-dried tomatoes. The palate is full and smoky, with tarred rope, smoked bacon, peanut brittle and sticky spare ribs. The finish is long and maritime, with sea air, a fire in a mountain hut and a note of cigar shop.
