This is the 2026 Heritage Barley Release from Ardnamurchan, a single malt matured entirely in ex-bourbon casks. It was distilled in 2018 from 100% Golden Promise barley and bottled at a cask strength of 58.6% ABV. The release runs to 6,500 bottles.
The nose shows white wine, soy sauce and gooseberry, alongside jam tart, white chocolate, raspberry, marzipan and flaked almonds. On the palate come lemon sorbet, icing sugar and apricot jam, then boiled sweets, dulce de leche, hazelnut and milk chocolate. The finish is creamy, full-bodied and long.
