This is the Heritage Barley Release 2026 from Ardnamurchan, a Highland single malt bottled at a cask strength of 58.4% ABV. It is made from 100% Golden Promise barley, without peat smoke, and matured entirely in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. The outturn is 6,500 bottles.
On the nose, notes include cherries in brandy, blackberry liqueur, green mint, gingerbread and blueberry cake. The palate brings dried ginger, fresh leather, cardamom and toffee, with maple-syrup pancakes and pumpernickel. The finish is jammy, spicy and long.
