Ardnamurchan Heritage Barley is a single malt Scotch whisky bottled at cask strength, 59.2% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It is made from 100% unpeated Golden Promise malted barley and matured only in ex-American bourbon barrels from 2018. It is natural colour and non-chill filtered.
The nose brings milk chocolate digestive biscuits, glacé cherries, lime cordial and marzipan, with apricot jam and salted preserved lemons. On the palate the oily texture carries sugared almonds, salted cashews, pistachio, orange polenta cake and baked cooking apples. The finish is medium in length, with soft orchard fruit, sweet nuttiness and a last note of espresso.
