Armorik – Yeun Elez Jobic, French Peated Single Malt (70cl, 46%)

Armorik Yeun Elez Jobic is a French single malt from the Armorik distillery in Brittany, bottled at 46%. Released in September 2020, it was the distillery's first peated whisky. It is made from Scottish malted barley peated to 50ppm, a departure from the local Breton barley the distillery normally uses. The name comes from the Yeun Elez marsh of Breton legend. The nose combines peat smoke, medicinal camphor and clove with banana, baked peach and cream cake. The palate is smoky and fresh, with citrus and a touch of sea salt. The finish is long, salty and spicy, ending in campfire.
