Triple Malted Grain is a French blended whisky from LAMAISON Whisky de Pays, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It claims no single distillery and instead combines around fifteen French distillates aged between 5 and 23 years.
All are made from three fully malted grains: 75% wheat, 16% barley and 9% rye. A slowly distilled wheat whisky from an artisanal column still forms the core of the blend. Casks include new French and American oak, cognac, bourbon, oloroso sherry, macvin, red burgundy and vin jaune.
The nose offers cereal, fresh herbs, praline, chocolate and candied citrus zest. The palate brings pear, mirabelle plum and a creamy texture, and the finish carries honey, almond cake, fine pepper and elegant wood.
