French oak red wine casks
Vilanova Roja is a French single malt made by Castan distillery in the Tarn from malted barley. It matures in French oak casks previously used for red wine, which contribute to its fruity, spicy character. The whisky is non-chill-filtered. Red fruit, vanilla and gentle spices define its flavour profile. The palate is full and creamy, with a roasted note, followed by a persistent finish combining fruit and wood.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
