Arran 12 Year Old is a single malt from the Isle of Arran, matured for twelve years in casks that previously held Bordeaux wine. It belongs to the distillery's Small Batch Series and was bottled in 2021 for the French market, at 50% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery stands at Lochranza and first ran its stills in June 1995, bringing legal distilling back to the island after more than 150 years. The nose is intense, with ripe fruit, nuts and a trace of toast. The palate is strong and full-bodied.
