Arran Port Cask Finish is a single malt from Lochranza Distillery on the Isle of Arran, bottled at 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The whisky matures first in oak casks, then spends an extended period finishing in Port wine barrels. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The Port finish brings red fruit and a velvety texture, while the spirit keeps its fruity character and a coastal freshness. On the nose there are ripe plum, raspberry compote and baked apple, with cinnamon, dark chocolate and toasted oak. The palate is smooth, with red berries, honeyed malt, citrus peel and cocoa. The finish is warming and softly maritime.
